Francis Osborne's work deals with the visual experience of daily life - areas of beauty in the urban environment, overlooked textures on walls, construction markings on the road. Osborne's aim is to draw attention to the unnoticed by composing imagery that is immediately impactful. Using familiar visual motifs that enhance the viewers sensory experience he poses the question: what makes an image? How does visual language successfully communicate and how do we react when it reaches our nervous system?
